With an academic program covering the whole spectrum of medical training, the Faculty boasts one of the highest rates of scientific production in the country. It is at the forefront of research innovation. Founded in 1967, the School of Rheumatology at UniMI involves 3 Rheumatology Units in Milan offering rheumatological care to a wide population.

Our role in DIAMONDS

The School of Rheumatology is based at Gaetano Pini Institute, where the Department of Rheumatology provides a state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic service for all the rheumatic conditions. It is the largest rheumatology facility in Milan, with 10 consultant rheumatologists and 15 fellows. The role of the Unit in DIAMONDS will mainly be recruiting for the inflammatory part of the study and collecting biological samples.

Our services

Both adult and pediatric rheumatology clinics are present in the associated Hospital, with a large number of outpatients and inpatients/year.
